This monday would of been my Grandads 89th birthday. As much as I love and miss my grandad I don't miss him specifically more on special days but I know Grandma does and when my little sister said she was going to visit that day I knew that I wanted to try and help brighten Grandma's day a bit too. We didn't tell her that Alex and I were going and we hid down the street until my younger sisters had gone in and then we went and knocked on the door and waited and waited and waited some more until finally she heard the door! She was so surprised and even wondered if I knew that Roxx and Zoe were already there. It was nice to cheer her up a little and we even took her a little picnic to save her making food like she normally does.
Next time I will take my proper camera and not just my camera phone, the lighting wasn't great but I would of felt bad asking Grandma to move.
It was nice to spend the day with these 3 as well and all in all Alex was very well behaved, even if she did try to show my boobs to numerous people all day whether feeding or not!
It was an early start and Alex clearly knew it but soon woke up to play once we got on the train. She was so good she even sat nicely with Grandma for a while. She got her own seat on the train on her way home as it was fairly quiet, cheeky sausage thought it was brilliant. She even refused to go to sleep in the wrap though because she was so excited to see her Aunties. Stu offered me some chocolate when we got home and when I turned round the little monkey had already grabbed it and was staring at me like she owned it!
Hope you've all had a lovely week?

Much  Love Emma x

The days fly by so quickly now I swear I'd see the hours floating out the window if I had chance to stop and watch them. Unfortunately I never seem to achieve a great amount and I find myself being thrilled if I get a spare 15 minutes to vacuum and tidy the living room. I love my little girl to bits but every now and then I just wish she would sleep without being held so I could at least wash up without having to juggle her as well. I have a brilliant wrap and wear her quite often but have you ever tried washing up whilst wearing a baby? Not only can you barely see round into the sink you struggle to reach into the sink also! I know when I look back on these days i'll be pleased about the amount of time I managed to spend with Alexandria and I won't even remember the housework that wasn't done but sometimes its just about achieving something in a day.

I do however try as often as possible to achieve 'Firsts' for Alexandria and make sure that hubby is involved too. Working 12 hours days he misses her a lot but I make sure that I save her first experiences for when he can join us. This week we took her to her first football match, he seemed so proud that my heart almost melted. She was great through the first half and a bit grouchy through the second but she did good overall and she loved watching the players run around.

What's brilliant is we actually won and not by just 1 goal, by 3! We won 5-2 so I guess we chose a good match to go see. Alexandria also got to meet the team mascot who was lovely and excited to see such a young child at the game as his girlfriend is due their first this year. Alexandria was much more interested in watching the game than having a picture though.

Also this week I have baked and donated nearly 100 cakes for MacMillan's Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning, photos to follow. Then whilst being looked after by Stuart as I was baking Alexandria was plotting her escape with a little help from Papa!

Hope you're all having a lovely week full of even the smallest of achievements,

So the journey into documenting daily life as a wife & mama begins. I'll keep this post short as Alexandria appears to be getting anxious rolling around on the rug by herself and wants some company. I intend to treasure this time as i'm well aware that one day she'll want nothing to do with me and only want her own company, hoping that stage won't last long though if i'm honest.

Tomorrow we are  both going to our first football match with Stuart. He's a big Grimsby Town fan so lets hope its a good game tomorrow.  Alexandria seemed to enjoy having her face decorated earlier, I love her cute little smile so much.

Spread the smiles,
